Tech Exchange: Our Co. & BASF Inst. with Hebei U Chem Eng

To deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research, and to jointly explore new pathways for chemical industry development, on June 19, Chief Scientist Liu Yanxia from BASF Research Institute, along with Jin Ruidi, Technical Manager for Process Catalysts (Asia Pacific), together with our company’s Deputy General Manager Mr. Wu and Product Manager Mr. Jiang, visited the College of Chemical Engineering at Hebei University of Technology for technical exchanges. They were warmly received and participated in the exchange activities by Jiang Lang, Vice President of Hebei University of Technology and Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering; Guo Hongfei, Party Secretary of the College; Associate Deans Li Zhiqiang and Li Jingde; as well as Professors Zhang Yuecheng and Wang Hefang.



During the exchange, Secretary Guo Hongfei welcomed our company and the BASF delegation on behalf of the college, and gave an overview of the college's history, academic programs, research outcomes, and talent development features. He expressed the hope that the visit would foster stronger partnerships and facilitate resource sharing and complementary advantages.



Manager Jin Ruidi from BASF Research Institute shared BASF's strategic layout in the global chemical industry, its core technological strengths, and its innovative practices in sustainable development. He pointed out that as a world-leading chemical company, BASF has consistently driven industrial progress through scientific and technological innovation, maintaining a leading international position across multiple chemical sub-sectors. In recent years, BASF has steadily increased its R&D investment in the Chinese market and is committed to forging deep collaborations with Chinese universities and enterprises to jointly advance the development of the industry.


Our Deputy General Manager, Mr. Wu, introduced the company's current development status, business scope, and its cooperative history with BASF. He noted that since its establishment, Diyang Chemical has accumulated extensive experience in chemical catalysts and other areas through its professional team and high-quality services, and has established a long-term and stable partnership with BASF. Through this exchange, he expressed the hope to further strengthen ties with the School of Chemical Engineering at Hebei University of Technology, and to carry out more substantive cooperation in talent cultivation and technology R&D.


Professor Zhang Yuecheng presented the breakthrough progress made by his team in chemical process intensification technology, covering areas such as efficient reactor design and novel separation technologies. Professor Wang Hefang, focusing on new chemical materials, shared the latest achievements in catalyst development, high-performance polymer materials, and nanocomposite materials.


This technical exchange event has built a sound platform for communication and cooperation among our company, BASF Research Institute, and the School of Chemical Engineering of Hebei University of Technology, further deepening mutual understanding and trust. Through the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, we will fully leverage the research strengths of universities and the market advantages of enterprises, jointly tackling key technical challenges in the chemical industry, and contributing greater efforts to promote high-quality development in the chemical sector.
